Abteilung Very Large Business Application (VLBA)
Role
The Department of Business Informatics/VLBA contributes expertise from the focus areas of Big Data, Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics. Research assistants, doctoral students and student assistants work together on the project. Final theses are also integrated into the project.
Profile
In research and teaching, the VLBA focuses on large enterprise-wide operational and inter-operational information systems. Als weitere Schwerpunkte beschäftigt sich die Abteilung mit betrieblichen Umweltinformationssystemen (BUIS), mit Business Intelligence (BI) und Big Data. The department works closely with the OFFIS e.V. Institute for Computer Science on issues and applications related to Data Science, Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 in various research projects in the energy and smart city context (e.g. NetzDatenStrom and enera).

Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR)
Role
The DLR Institute for AI Security, represented by the Department of Safety-Critical Data Infrastructures, contributes expertise from the focus areas Federated Learning and Data Quality and acts as a requirements provider in the project.
Profile
Vor dem Hintergrund der DLR-Forschungsbereiche Luftfahrt, Raumfahrt, Energie, Verkehr, Sicherheit und der bereichsübergreifenden Digitalisierung leistet das Institut für KI-Sicherheit interdisziplinäre Forschung und Entwicklung. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf sicherheitskritischen Systemen mit Fragestellungen zur Betriebs- und Angriffssicherheit. Das Institut beschäftigt sich gleichermaßen mit querschnittsrelevanter Grundlagenforschung zur künstlichen Intelligenz als auch mit anwendungsorientierten und praxisnahen Entwicklungen.
